Senior Architectural Modeler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create, author, and sustain digital UAF and SysML architecture models and viewpoints in Cameo/MagicDraw to connect CAPDEV and MATDEV requirements.

• Oversee the Army Integrated Architecture Data Standards (IADS) process, which includes Information Exchange Specifications, data quality, architecture data standards, and lifecycle governance.

• Lead and facilitate IADS working groups and Integration Strategy meetings.

• Address architecture data challenges, define requirements, build stakeholder consensus, and align program objectives.

• Direct coordination among agencies with Army Functional Data Managers, the Army CDO, and the Architecture Data Board.

• Present updates on strategic architecture status to Army leadership.

• Convert digital models into technical specifications for developers.

• Assess architecture data, models, and associated work products for alignment with approved standards, modeling guidelines, and requirements.

• Supervise data federation and interface exchanges across authorized Army systems.

• Guide framework transitions and assess new MBSE tools.

• Mentor the Junior Data Analyst’s deliverables before they are handed off to developers.

• Update Army leadership and senior stakeholders on architecture status, data issues, integration efforts, and suggested actions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active Secret security clearance.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Have over 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in creating UAF and SysML architecture models and viewpoints.

• Have direct experience in developing DoD CAPDEV, MATDEV, or MBSE architectures.

• Strong expertise in using Cameo, MagicDraw, or a similar architecture modeling tool.

• Experience in developing and maintaining enterprise data standards, architecture standards, modeling guidelines, or style guides.

• Background in developing or managing architecture data standards, information exchange specifications, data governance, or related architecture data initiatives.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead technical meetings and collaborate effectively with both Government and contractor teams.
