This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
β’ Oversee the architectural design for extensive hyperscale cloud data center and colocation initiatives from initial concept through to construction administration and project closeout.
β’ Work collaboratively with internal engineering teams, construction personnel, and external partners to create coordinated and integrated design solutions.
β’ Create and evaluate drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
β’ Ensure adherence to codes, standards, and client design requirements.
β’ Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and permitting authorities to facilitate project delivery and regulatory compliance.
β’ Act as the architectural subject matter expert for clients in hyperscale and colocation sectors.
β’ Guarantee operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability in facility design.
β’ Mentor and support junior architects and designers.
β’ Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in data center design.
β’ Assist in business development, proposal writing, and conceptual architectural designs for new initiatives.
β’ Participate in occasional client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other critical business activities.
β’ Bachelor's Degree coupled with at least 8 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalent of experience and/or education.
β’ Proven experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects.
β’ Familiarity with building codes, mission-critical infrastructure standards, and data center design requirements.
β’ Proficiency in BIM ACC (Revit), AutoCAD, and other pertinent design tools.
β’ Over 5 years of experience working with hyperscale client standards and colocation facility delivery models (preferred).
β’ Active U.S. Architectural license (preferred).
β’ LEED accreditation or equivalent sustainable design credentials (preferred).
β’ Experience in fast-paced, global project environments (preferred).
β’ Extensive background working with permitting authorities and AHJs (preferred).
β’ Strong leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
β’ Capacity to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and geographically diverse teams.
