Senior Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for local operations at Rapidus as a Metrology Application Engineer.

• Carry out system installations, introduce new feature software, conduct system use case training, and troubleshoot issues.

• Engage in OCD/TF modeling activities as a secondary focus.

• Maintain close communication with customers, identifying their needs and necessary enhancements using native Japanese.

• Collaborate closely with the Service team to address escalation issues.

• Join early morning or late-night internal conference calls as necessary for escalation matters.

• Proficient in Japanese as a first language.

• Competent in English communication.

• Capable of taking initiative and possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Essential skills in planning, troubleshooting, and organizational management to ensure a seamless workflow.

• Ability to actively collaborate and work with internal stakeholders and customers to implement projects.

• Proficient in systematic troubleshooting to identify root causes, devise solutions, and conduct thorough verification.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.

• Enthusiastic about engaging with new technologies.

• Willingness to travel frequently to customer locations and participate in international training sessions.
