Senior Application Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Ensure the security of software design and establish secure implementation practices with product development teams.

• Foster security-related communication among technical teams involved in product releases.

• Plan and oversee the development of security tools within the team.

• Generate tasks based on SAST, DAST, SCA, application security testing, and the results of security reviews.

• Collaborate with product teams to gain early insights into product changes and make informed security decisions.

• Ensure thorough testing of mobile and desktop applications, as well as browser extensions.

• Assist with internal and external audits.

• Design and deliver training programs to promote security engineering awareness and adoption.

• Identify internal security vulnerabilities within the product or organization.

• Address security inquiries and provide guidance on product security direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in assessing the security of mobile and desktop applications, including planning, testing, methodologies, and vulnerability reporting.

• Solid understanding of networks, particularly the OSI and TCP/IP models, with a focus on VPNs.

• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to define the scope of security testing and identify remediation actions.

• Familiarity with secure coding practices.

• Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.

• Experience with security issues across Linux, Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows platforms.

• Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships, influencing key stakeholders across the organization.

• Capacity to make product-related business decisions informed by threats and vulnerabilities.
