Senior Application Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the estimation process for enhancement or support requests.

• Direct the design of workflows, configure and test system modifications, and assess technical challenges.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and software vendor implementation teams.

• Discover opportunities for enhancing business workflows through technology integration.

• Engage in training sessions and collaborate with end users.

• Resolve issues and inquiries as they arise.

• Offer end-user support for issues logged in tracking systems.

• Review project and issue progress with project leadership.

• Assign or delegate configuration tasks and other responsibilities to Application Analysts or Managed Services team members.

• Serve as a proxy for the Applications Manager in incident or problem resolution.

• Mentor colleagues and junior analysts while providing guidance in problem-solving.

• Spearhead internal process design and documentation for ongoing IT enhancements.

• Assist in business systems design, configuration, upgrades, enhancements, impact analysis, and platform performance.

• Collaborate within cross-functional teams and uphold Abbott's mission, values, and Quality Management System policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; or a high school diploma/general education diploma along with 4 years of relevant experience in place of a Bachelor’s degree.

• Over 5 years of experience in developing or configuring technology solutions, either as an application analyst or in a project delivery capacity.

• Recognized Subject Matter Expert in one or more areas: patient identification workflows in healthcare, revenue cycle, CRM & MyChart, Patient Registration, or lab order entry.

• Must possess or be capable of obtaining relevant Epic software application certifications within 8 weeks of hire.

• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.

• Proven ability to fulfill the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

• Preferred Epic certifications include, but are not limited to, Epic Cheers, MyChart, and Care Everywhere.

• Preferred experience in configuring business systems software within life sciences, healthcare, or a related industry.

• Preferred professional working knowledge in Health Care or Biotechnology.

• Preferred familiarity with agile delivery methodologies.

• Willingness to work standard business hours and be on-call, with the possibility of nights and weekends.

• Ability to travel approximately 5% of the working time.

• Capacity to lift up to 10 pounds for about 5% of a typical working day.

• Aptitude for working in front of a computer screen and/or typing for approximately 90% of a standard working day.

• Compliance with applicable personal protective equipment requirements is necessary.

• Consistent and dependable attendance is expected.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.

• Capability to operate effectively in a cross-functional and complex matrix environment.

• Ability to learn new software applications and adapt to evolving needs.

• Proficiency in operating telephone systems, computer keyboards, and printers.
