Senior Appian Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, testing, and implementation of sophisticated Appian-based solutions in support of the FASOR project.

• Architect, design, and execute Appian applications, interfaces, and integrations.

• Identify, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical challenges across Appian and integrated Army systems.

• Assist in the integration, deployment, and maintenance of Appian solutions across Army enterprise and cloud environments.

• Conduct code reviews and uphold Appian coding standards, Department of Defense secure coding practices, and configuration management protocols.

• Guide and mentor junior and intermediate Appian developers, providing technical support.

• Collaborate with Government stakeholders, functional analysts, and end users to convert business requirements into automated Appian workflows.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, structure, and tooling as detailed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

• Create and maintain technical documentation that supports relevant CDRL deliverables.

• Provide technical leadership within the Digital Solutions Division, delivering secure, scalable, and sustainable applications aligned with Army readiness and cybersecurity goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, or another Engineering or Technical discipline, or four additional years of relevant professional experience.

• At least five (5) years of experience within the last eight (8) years in designing, developing, and maintaining software for engineering applications; comprehending analytic and interface requirements; developing tools and interfaces; establishing operational specifications; and formulating and analyzing software requirements.

• Minimum three (3) years of practical Appian development experience, including process models, interfaces, records, integrations, and deployment of production applications.

• Proven application of DoD database and code security requirements.

• Federal Investigative Standard: Tier 3.

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Active or interim DoD SECRET clearance, or the capability to obtain and sustain a DoD SECRET clearance.

• Individuals conducting technical analysis of systems with privileged access must comply with IA Technical Level II requirements as per DoDD 8140.01 and AR 25-2 standards.

• Must be available to work East Coast hours.

• Appian Certified Senior Developer or Lead Developer certification is preferred.

• Security+ CE or another DoD 8570.01-M / DoDD 8140.01 IAT Level II certification is preferred.

• Previous software development experience supporting the Department of Defense or U.S. Army is preferred.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure Government, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Strong understanding of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins is preferred.

• Knowledge of RMF, eMASS, and STIG compliance activities is preferred.
