Senior Appian Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of sophisticated Appian-based solutions for the FASOR project.

• Architect, design, and implement Appian applications, interfaces, and integrations that meet FASOR requirements.

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve technical issues related to Appian and integrated Army systems.

• Assist in the integration, deployment, and maintenance of Appian solutions across Army enterprise and cloud environments.

• Conduct code reviews and uphold Appian coding standards, DoD secure coding practices, and configuration management protocols.

• Mentor and offer technical guidance to junior and intermediate Appian developers.

• Collaborate with Government stakeholders, functional analysts, and end users to convert business requirements into automated Appian workflows.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, structure, and tooling.

• Create and maintain technical documentation to support relevant CDRL deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be available to work East Coast hours.

• Active or interim DoD SECRET clearance, or the capability to obtain and retain a DoD SECRET clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, or another Engineering or Technical discipline, or four additional years of pertinent professional experience.

• At least five (5) years of experience within the last eight (8) years in designing, developing, and maintaining software for engineering applications; collaborating with analysts; creating tools and interfaces; establishing operational specifications; and formulating and analyzing software requirements.

• Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on Appian development experience, encompassing process models, interfaces, records, integrations, and the deployment of production applications.

• Proven application of DoD database and code security requirements.

• Federal Investigative Standard: Tier 3.

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Individuals performing technical analysis of systems with privileged access must satisfy IA Technical Level II requirements per DoDD 8140.01 and AR 25-2.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure Government, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong practical knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies and CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.

• Familiarity with RMF, eMASS, and STIG compliance activities.

• Preferred: Appian Certified Senior Developer or Lead Developer certification.

• Preferred: Security+ CE or other DoD 8570.01-M / DoDD 8140.01 IAT Level II certification.

• Preferred: prior software development experience supporting the Department of Defense or U.S. Army, ideally within CECOM SEC or ASIC.
