Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and develop innovative features for Finom's Android application utilized by business owners throughout Europe.

• Architect and implement solutions for multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions, payments, card issuance and control, as well as AI-driven accounting automation.

• Create responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.

• Maintain code quality, performance, and stability through automated testing and comprehensive code reviews.

• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Lead technical decisions within the domain and identify areas for enhancement.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile best practices.

• Influence architectural decisions, enhance engineering quality, and mentor fellow engineers.

• Develop features for Finom, a B2B financial platform in Europe that integrates banking, accounting, financial management, and invoicing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of commercial experience in Android development.

• Proficient in Kotlin; knowledge of Java is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.

• Familiarity with MVI, MVVM, and MVP presentation-layer patterns.

• Experience with RxJava and Kotlin Coroutines / Flow.

• Knowledge of Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin.

• Proficient with Retrofit.

• Experience using Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component.

• Proficient in Jetpack Compose.

• Practical experience with Firebase, including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.

• Familiarity with feature-module architecture in a production environment.

• Proficient with Git / GitLab and managing GitLab CI/CD.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A builder’s mindset with a focus on product development.

• Nice to have: background in fintech or financial products.

• Nice to have: knowledge of mobile security best practices.

• Nice to have: experience in UI performance profiling and optimization.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, or similar tools.

• Nice to have: published apps on Google Play.

• Nice to have: an active GitHub profile.

• Nice to have: knowledge of AI agents, LLM tools, AI-powered IDE tools, model evaluation, and AI security.
