Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Create and develop new functionalities for Finom's Android application.

• Design and execute multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions and payments, card issuance and management, as well as AI-driven accounting automation.

• Construct polished, responsive user interfaces utilizing Jetpack Compose.

• Ensure code quality, performance, and stability through automated testing and comprehensive code reviews.

• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Influence technical decisions within the domain and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tools, and mobile best practices.

• Shape architectural decisions and guide other engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional Android development experience.

• Proficient in Kotlin; familiarity with Java is advantageous.

• Strong grasp of OOP, SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.

• Experience with MVI, MVVM, and MVP presentation-layer patterns.

• Proficient in RxJava and Kotlin Coroutines / Flow.

• Familiarity with Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin.

• Experience with Retrofit.

• Knowledge of Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component.

• Experience using Jetpack Compose.

• Hands-on experience with Firebase, including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.

• Experience implementing feature-module architecture in a production environment.

• Proficient with Git / GitLab, including setting up and managing GitLab CI/CD.

• Clear and concise communication skills in English for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Background in fintech or financial products is a plus.

• Awareness of mobile security best practices is beneficial.

• Experience in profiling and optimizing UI performance is a plus.

• Familiarity with Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, or similar tools is a plus.

• Having published apps on Google Play is a plus.

• An active GitHub profile is advantageous.

• Experience with AI agents, LLM tools, and AI-powered IDE tools is a plus.

• Understanding of model capabilities and limitations is a plus.

• Ability to assess and validate AI-generated outputs is a plus.

• Awareness of AI security risks is a plus.
