Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and develop new functionalities for Finom's Android application utilized by business proprietors throughout Europe.

• Architect and deploy solutions for multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions, payments, card issuance and control, as well as AI-driven accounting automation.

• Create responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.

• Take ownership of code quality, performance, and stability through automated testing and code reviews.

• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.

• Influence technical decisions, challenge existing assumptions, and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and best practices in mobile engineering.

• Shape architectural decisions, enhance engineering quality, and mentor fellow engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Android development.

• Proficient in Kotlin; knowledge of Java is advantageous.

• Strong grasp of OOP principles, SOLID design, and Clean Architecture.

• Familiarity with MVI, MVVM, and MVP presentation-layer patterns.

• Experience with RxJava and Kotlin Coroutines / Flow.

• Proficient in Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin.

• Experience using Retrofit.

• Familiarity with Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component.

• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.

• Practical knowledge of Firebase, including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.

• Experience with feature-module architecture in a production environment.

• Proficient with Git / GitLab and managing GitLab CI/CD.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both technical and non-technical.

• Background in fintech or financial products is a plus.

• Understanding of mobile security best practices is a plus.

• Experience in UI performance profiling and optimization is a plus.

• Familiarity with Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, or similar tools is a plus.

• Published apps on Google Play are a plus.

• An active GitHub profile is a plus.

• Experience with AI agents, LLM tools, and AI-enhanced IDE tools is a plus.

• Understanding of model capabilities and limitations is a plus.

• Ability to assess and validate AI-generated outputs is a plus.

• Awareness of AI security risks is a plus.
