Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Create and develop new functionalities for Finom’s Android application utilized by business owners throughout Europe.

• Design and implement multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions, payments, card issuance and control, as well as AI-driven accounting automation.

• Construct sleek, responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.

• Ensure code quality, performance, and stability through automated testing and comprehensive code reviews.

• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product teams on complete end-to-end solutions.

• Lead technical decision-making within the domain and identify areas for enhancement.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and best practices in mobile engineering.

• Influence architectural choices, mentor other engineers, and elevate engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Android development.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin; familiarity with Java is advantageous.

• In-depth understanding of OOP principles, SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.

• Experience with MVI, MVVM, and MVP presentation-layer design patterns.

• Familiarity with RxJava and Kotlin Coroutines / Flow.

• Experience using Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin.

• Proficient in Retrofit.

• Experience with Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component.

• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose.

• Practical knowledge of Firebase, including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.

• Experience with feature-module architecture in a production environment.

• Proficient with Git / GitLab and managing GitLab CI/CD.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Background in fintech or financial products is a plus.

• Knowledge of mobile security best practices is a plus.

• Experience in performance profiling and optimization is a plus.

• Having published apps on Google Play, an active GitHub profile, and experience with AI/LLM tooling are desirable.
