Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Design and develop new functionalities for Finom’s Android application utilized by business owners throughout Europe.

• Architect and execute multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions, payments, card issuance/activation/control, and AI-driven accounting automation.

• Create sleek, responsive user interfaces with Jetpack Compose.

• Ensure code quality, performance, and stability through automated testing and comprehensive code reviews.

• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Lead technical decisions within the domain and critically assess assumptions.

• Identify areas for product enhancement and improvement in engineering practices.

• Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, tools, and mobile best practices.

• Influence architectural decisions, elevate engineering quality, and mentor fellow engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional Android development experience.

• Proficient in Kotlin; knowledge of Java is an advantage.

• Strong grasp of OOP principles, SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.

• Familiarity with MVI, MVVM, and MVP presentation-layer patterns.

• Experience with RxJava and Kotlin Coroutines / Flow.

• Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks like Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin.

• Proficient with Retrofit.

• Experience with Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component.

• Skilled in using Jetpack Compose.

• Practical knowledge of Firebase, encompassing FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.

• Experience with feature-module architecture in a production environment.

• Proficient with Git / GitLab, including setting up and managing GitLab CI/CD.

• Strong communication skills in English, effective with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Nice to have: background in fintech or financial products.

• Nice to have: knowledge of mobile security best practices.

• Nice to have: experience in UI performance profiling and optimization.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, or similar tools.

• Nice to have: published applications on Google Play.

• Nice to have: an active GitHub profile.

• Nice to have: experience with AI agents, LLM tools, AI-powered IDE tools, model evaluation, and awareness of AI security risks.
