Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Design and develop new features for Finom’s Android application utilized by business owners throughout Europe.

• Architect and implement management for multi-account cash flow, banking transactions, payments, card issuance/activation/control, and AI-driven accounting automation.

• Create polished, responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.

• Ensure code quality, performance, and stability through automated testing and comprehensive code reviews.

• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product teams to develop end-to-end solutions.

• Influence technical decisions within the domain and identify areas for enhancement.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and best practices in mobile engineering.

• Shape architectural decisions, improve engineering quality, and mentor fellow engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional Android development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin; knowledge of Java is an advantage.

• Thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and Clean Architecture.

• Experience with MVI, MVVM, and MVP presentation-layer patterns.

• Familiarity with RxJava and Kotlin Coroutines / Flow.

• Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger 2, Hilt, or Koin.

• Knowledge of Retrofit for API interactions.

• Experience with navigation frameworks like Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component.

• Proficiency in Jetpack Compose.

• Practical experience with Firebase, including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.

• Experience with feature-module architecture in live production environments.

• Comfort with Git / GitLab, including setting up and managing GitLab CI/CD.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• A background in fintech or financial products is desirable.

• Familiarity with mobile security best practices is a plus.

• Experience in profiling and optimizing UI performance is advantageous.

• Familiarity with tools like Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, or similar is a plus.

• Having published apps on Google Play is a bonus.

• An active GitHub profile is a bonus.

• Experience with AI agents, LLM tools, AI-powered IDE tools, understanding model capabilities and limitations, AI-output verification, and AI security risks is a plus.
