Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications with a focus on performance, security, responsiveness, and user experience.

• Collaborate with business analysts, alliances/channel teams, backend engineers, and stakeholders to introduce features and enhancements.

• Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code following best practices, design patterns, and architectures such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and MVI.

• Conduct unit, instrumentation, and UI testing using Espresso; debug applications as needed.

• Optimize performance, memory usage, and compatibility across various Android devices, screen sizes, and OS versions.

• Engage in code reviews and mentor fellow team members.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, crashes, ANRs, functionality, and third-party integrations.

• Integrate backend services utilizing secure RESTful APIs.

• Stay updated with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, Hilt, Material Design, and Android best practices.

• Contribute to effort estimation, sprint planning, and architectural decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

• At least 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin with practical experience using Android SDK and Jetpack (Compose, ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation).

• Understanding of activity/fragment lifecycle, intents, services, broadcast receivers, permissions, background tasks, and notifications.

• Experience with the Gradle build system, Android Studio, and Google Play Store provisioning and signing.

• Familiarity with Salesforce concepts such as Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce platform capabilities, integration patterns, and responsive and accessible UI components is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of Jira, Coupa, MuleSoft, and Salesforce Experience Cloud is a plus.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, exercising discretion in decision-making and sound judgment in problem-solving.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and oral.

• Willingness and ability to rapidly acquire new skills and technologies.

• Proven experience in leveraging AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
