Android Engineer – Risk Control

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance high-performance Android applications focused on risk management and identity verification solutions.

• Integrate and optimize on-device AI models, including compact face recognition and liveness detection systems that operate locally on Android devices.

• Create Android client-side libraries and frameworks aimed at accelerating development and enhancing code quality.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop hybrid frameworks and on-device inference pipelines.

• Implement user action recognition processes from camera capture through on-device preprocessing to backend API interactions.

• Manage video processing on Android, which includes real-time frame processing and camera stream oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in developing Android applications from the ground up.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin/Java programming languages.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in deploying on-device/local AI models on Android platforms.

• Background in integrating lightweight machine learning models for face recognition, liveness detection, and action recognition with optimized inference.

• Experience with video processing on Android, including capturing video, real-time frame processing, and managing video streams.

• Familiarity with the development of face recognition/computer vision products, including workflows for face detection, liveness, and anti-spoofing.

• Proven track record in Android development, encompassing architecture design, Jetpack, OkHttp, and other relevant frameworks.

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React.

• Understanding of C++ and JNI is an added advantage.
