Mid-Level Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications utilizing Kotlin.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, develop, and deliver new features that align with business goals and user requirements.

• Ensure application performance, quality, stability, and responsiveness across various supported Android devices and versions.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, technical issues, and software defects.

• Uphold high standards of code quality, organization, readability, and maintainability.

• Implement and sustain automated development and testing practices.

• Integrate Android applications with backend services via RESTful APIs.

• Employ Android design principles and UI/UX guidelines to create intuitive and consistent user experiences.

• Utilize performance profiling and memory analysis tools to uncover optimization opportunities.

• Work alongside team members to troubleshoot issues, review implementations, and share technical expertise.

• Assess and adopt relevant technologies, tools, and development practices to enhance productivity and application quality.

• Contribute to Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) development efforts and the integration of shared code across mobile platforms.

• Assist large enterprises in transforming AI potential into business impact through AI deployment, AI-native execution, and technology-integrated business solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in developing Android applications, supported by a strong portfolio of applications or relevant projects.

• Proficient in Kotlin, including its core language features, object-oriented programming, and modern development practices.

• Comprehensive understanding of the complete mobile application development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and implementation to testing, release, maintenance, and support.

• Proven experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) and an understanding of code sharing across mobile platforms.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and experience in integrating Android applications with backend services.

• Knowledge of Android design principles, interface guidelines, and UI/UX standards for creating accessible, intuitive, and consistent applications.

• Experience in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, analyzing memory usage, and optimizing application responsiveness using suitable profiling and debugging tools.

• Proficient with Git or other code versioning tools for source code management and collaborative development.

• Understanding of maintainable code practices, code organization, and automation techniques that promote reliable and efficient development.

• Capability to investigate technical issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
