Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance the company's data architecture while developing robust data models.

• Build and oversee intricate, scalable Snowflake data models utilizing dbt.

• Make datasets accessible in BI tools to facilitate self-service analytics.

• Execute straightforward data ingestion utilizing no-code tools and ensure streamlined data flows.

• Incorporate metadata, documentation, data quality checks, and sensitive data masking into datasets.

• Transfer data from Snowflake into operational applications.

• Detect and report data quality concerns to process owners.

• Spearhead training initiatives to promote BI tool utilization.

• Guide junior analytics engineers and encourage knowledge-sharing.

• Partner with business stakeholders to pinpoint and deliver high-value data solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in analytics engineering or similar data roles.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL.

• Expertise in dbt and Snowflake.

• Skilled with BI tools including Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, or Snowsight.

• Proven track record of providing clear, actionable insights to business stakeholders.

• Experience with data ingestion and activation through no-code tools like Fivetran or Stitch.

• Familiarity with metadata management, documentation, data quality checks, and sensitive data masking.

• Capacity to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and comprehend their data requirements.

• Experience in leading training sessions.

• Background in offering informal mentorship to junior analytics team members.
