This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.
• Take ownership of the Operations data model, encompassing reconciliation, treasury, payments, lifecycle, and onboarding.
• Transform raw operational events into reliable, well-documented data products within the Data Warehouse (DWH).
• Collaborate with Operations stakeholders to address daily inquiries, handle ad hoc requests, and manage recurring reporting tasks.
• Act as the main data contact point for the Operations team.
• Advocate for self-service solutions for routine and repetitive inquiries.
• Examine end-to-end processes to pinpoint manual efforts and delicate handoffs.
• Identify and recommend tools and automation to address operational challenges.
• Establish and uphold metrics for reconciliation accuracy, treasury positions, payment success/failure rates, and onboarding conversion.
• Operate within the central metric architecture.
• Engage in data quality and governance initiatives.
• Suggest and implement enhancements for processes and products.
• Acquire knowledge of the Operations domain and deliver an initial solution or data product.
• Assume comprehensive responsibility for metrics related to at least one Operations sub-domain.
• Contribute to collective Risk/TRI discussions.
• Establish independent ownership of data and workflows.
• Proven experience as an analytics engineer or senior analyst involved in technical data projects.
• Familiarity with data modeling on contemporary data platforms such as Databricks, Spark, or dbt.
• Strong SQL proficiency for analytical tasks.
• Capability to utilize Python for tasks that are inadequately addressed by SQL.
• Skill in gathering requirements from operational stakeholders and converting vague requests into clear, documented metrics.
• Detail-oriented mindset, particularly with regard to regulatory and financial reporting data.
• Ability to reconcile varying stakeholder interpretations of the same metric.
• Understanding of operational processes and the ability to identify effective tools or automation solutions.
• High level of autonomy and self-motivation.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced workflows and tools.
• Preferred background in banking, fintech, treasury, or payments operations.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups is a plus.
• Familiarity with regulatory or financial reporting data requirements is advantageous.
• Occasional exposure to BI-layer reporting is preferred.
