This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.
• Take ownership of the Operations data model, which includes reconciliation, treasury, payments, lifecycle, and onboarding tasks.
• Transform raw operational events into reliable, well-documented data products within the Data Warehouse (DWH).
• Collaborate with Operations stakeholders to address daily inquiries, handle ad hoc requests, and manage recurring reporting needs.
• Act as the primary point of contact for data-related inquiries while encouraging self-service reporting practices.
• Evaluate end-to-end processes, pinpoint manual efforts or delicate handoffs, and suggest suitable tools for improvement.
• Establish and uphold metrics pertaining to reconciliation accuracy, treasury positions, payment success or failure rates, and onboarding conversion rates.
• Operate within the central metric architecture of the team.
• Engage in data quality and governance initiatives.
• Recommend and execute process and product enhancements.
• Acquire knowledge of the Operations domain and deliver an initial data correction or product.
• Manage metrics for at least one Operations sub-domain from start to finish.
• Participate in shared Risk/TRI discussions and provide suggestions for processes or tools.
• Proven experience as an analytics engineer or senior analyst involved in technical projects.
• Familiarity with data modeling on modern data platforms such as Databricks, Spark, or dbt.
• Strong SQL skills for analytical tasks.
• Ability to utilize Python for tasks that SQL may not handle effectively.
• Capacity to gather requirements from operational stakeholders and convert vague requests into clear, documented metrics.
• A detail-oriented approach, particularly for regulatory and financial reporting data.
• Skill in reconciling differing definitions of the same metric among stakeholders.
• Understanding of operational processes and the ability to identify valuable tools or automation solutions.
• High degree of autonomy and self-direction.
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows and tools.
• A background in banking, fintech, treasury, or payments operations is preferred.
• Experience working across diverse stakeholder groups is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with regulatory or financial reporting data requirements is advantageous.
• Exposure to BI-layer reporting is preferred.
