Senior Analyst – Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate medical claims data to identify utilization trends, cost factors, quality performance, and population health dynamics among attributed member groups.

• Analyze provider and network performance, focusing on variations in utilization, cost, and outcomes to aid in network strategy and enhance provider engagement efforts.

• Facilitate value-based care and risk-based arrangements by reviewing financial performance against benchmarks, targets, and capitation assumptions.

• Conduct financial analysis, including ROI evaluations, cost-benefit assessments, and variance analyses, to support informed strategic decision-making.

• Create financial models and generate reports to bolster strategic initiatives, such as network optimization, care management programs, and contract performance.

• Collaborate with clinical, care management, network, and operations teams to pinpoint, quantify, and monitor opportunities for performance enhancement and reduction in avoidable utilization.

• Convert intricate analytical results into straightforward, actionable insights for senior leadership and teams interacting with providers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• 2–4 years of experience in healthcare analytics, financial analysis, consulting, or a related field, ideally within an IPA, health plan, MSO, or provider organization.

• Over 2 years of experience in processing information and translating it into concrete business recommendations supported by rationale.

• Strong background in working with medical claims data and understanding the factors influencing utilization, cost, and quality in value-based care models.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Proficiency in SQL, Databricks, or similar data analytics platforms.

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.

• Solid comprehension of risk-based contracting, capitation, and total cost of care concepts.

• Ability to distill complex data into strategic insights and actionable recommendations.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to cross-functional stakeholders, including clinical and provider audiences.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
