This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Identify qualified suppliers for requirements by utilizing existing agreements.
• Oversee the purchase order process from requisition to invoice payment for assigned indirect commodities.
• Acquire price quotations and negotiate terms related to pricing and delivery.
• Evaluate supplier quotes and provide sourcing recommendations and decisions.
• Ensure timely delivery of products according to schedule.
• Initiate negotiations with suppliers regarding price, lead time, and terms and conditions.
• Complete purchase order documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Place orders efficiently to support business requirements and adhere to team-defined turnaround times.
• Collaborate with requisitioners and other functional teams.
• Work both independently and collaboratively on projects that support the Supply Chain organization.
• Manage the Procure-to-Pay process for indirect materials.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to promote cost-effective procurement solutions, ensure compliance, and enhance processes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience using SAP procurement software or similar ERP systems in a supply chain or procurement setting, including Oracle, Epicor, People Soft, APEX, or PRISM.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to communicate fluently and professionally in both written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in SAP and Ariba (including Procurement functions, Business Warehouse, Business Objects).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with lean principles and strategies for process improvement.
• Knowledge of indirect commodities within a manufacturing or aerospace context.
• Experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) purchasing, covering sourcing and procurement.
• Must possess authorization to work in Mexico without the need for the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
