This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
• Implement incident handling and remediation strategies across Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.
• Conduct malware analysis in diverse customer environments and assess emerging threats.
• Enhance incident detection protocols and execute necessary countermeasures.
• Create written and verbal communications, along with recommendations and findings for clients.
• Design and deploy security content and automation within CrowdStrike modules, including EDR/SIEM.
• Exhibit industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and public speaking engagements.
• Offer ongoing feedback and solutions for operational documents and capabilities.
• Provide consulting assistance for the onboarding and configuration of additional CrowdStrike Falcon security modules.
• Identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents on behalf of customers.
• Optimize CrowdStrike Falcon platform configurations and mitigate risks through detection triage and remediation.
• Experience across several of the following domains: SOC, malware analysis, incident response, computer forensic analysis, systems administration, network forensic analysis, incident remediation, network operations and architecture/engineering, and programming/scripting.
• Proven experience in conducting or managing incident response for organizations, particularly in investigating targeted threats such as Advanced Persistent Threats, Organized Crime, and Hacktivists.
• Familiarity with system internals, network protocols, network analysis tools, and relevant network logs.
• Proficiency in executing both static and dynamic malware analysis.
• Strong comprehension of targeted attacks, with the ability to devise tailored tactical and strategic remediation plans.
• In-depth knowledge of secure network architecture, complemented by an understanding of network operations.
• Coding experience in Python, PowerShell, or .NET, or other languages like C, C#, VB, Perl, or Ruby on Rails, or a willingness to learn.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive business results.
• Capable of executing technical tasks independently.
• Eagerness to develop and enhance both technical and soft skills.
• Strong project management abilities.
• Recognized as a contributing thought leader within the incident response sector.
• Ability to cultivate a positive work atmosphere and attitude.
• Willingness and aptitude to communicate effectively with customers during active security incidents.
• A BA or BS in Computer Science or a related field is considered beneficial but not mandatory.
• Industry-related DFIR certifications are viewed as a plus but are not required.
