Senior Analyst, Modeling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create statistical and Machine Learning models for credit, risk, and various analytical applications.

• Oversee the complete model development lifecycle, from data exploration and preparation to validation, documentation, and deployment.

• Work with extensive structured and unstructured datasets, pinpointing opportunities to create value.

• Assess model performance using statistical and business metrics, recommending ongoing enhancements.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Sales, and Client teams to convert business requirements into analytical solutions.

• Monitor model performance in production and suggest strategies for monitoring, recalibration, and evolution.

• Contribute to the sharing of best practices in modeling, programming, and analytics governance.

• Act as a technical reference for junior analysts, aiding in their development.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience in developing statistical and/or Machine Learning models.

• Familiarity with credit modeling (Application, Behaviour, Collections, or regulatory models) is a notable advantage.

• Proficient in Python and/or SAS.

• Experience with SQL and managing large datasets.

• Understanding of supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning techniques.

• Knowledge of applied statistics, model validation, and metrics such as KS, Gini, AUC, and PSI, among others.

• Experience using Git or other version control systems.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical results to varied audiences.

• Familiarity with PySpark, Databricks, or distributed environments.

• Understanding of MLOps and deploying models into production.

• Experience with models based on alternative data.

• Knowledge of regulations regarding credit risk management.

• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for innovation.

• Ability to convert data into business insights.

• A collaborative team player.

• Proactive attitude and a strong sense of ownership.

• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with multiple projects.
