Senior Analyst, Medical Economics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Execute complex medical economic projects, including modeling contract rates.

• Identify and accomplish essential deliverables to achieve business goals.

• Develop and implement initiatives in medical economics, such as medical cost programs, policies, budgets, and analytical models.

• Collaborate with Network Management to evaluate medical costs and assess the effectiveness of contracted rates.

• Create and execute strategies to manage medical costs based on thorough analysis and trends.

• Develop provider reimbursement schedules tailored to specific markets.

• Supervise standard and ad-hoc reports for risk assessment, budgeting, hospital chargemaster analysis, and forecasting.

• Coordinate the approval of rates and establish pricing for intricate contractual arrangements.

• Formulate and communicate tactical and strategic plans to fulfill information requirements across various products, segments, and markets.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated leadership and/or project management experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare and/or analysis.

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required.

• Familiarity with managed care and provider reimbursement policies.

• Understanding of provider contracts and the regulatory/legislative influences on reimbursement strategies.

• Knowledge of both internal and external database applications.

• Awareness of marketplace delivery systems and provider relationships.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in software and modeling techniques.

• Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of advanced financial and healthcare concepts.

• Capability to manage competing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
