Senior Analyst, Forecasting – Commercial Modelling

šŸ“‹ Description

• Take ownership of and manage the APAC enrolment forecasting framework across university partners and study periods.

• Create, enhance, and consistently advance forecasting methodologies, assumptions, and scenario models.

• Produce rolling forecasts, conduct variance analysis, and generate study-period performance reports.

• Prepare and deliver forecast reviews and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

• Lead the annual enrolment forecasting process to support budgeting and planning cycles.

• Develop automated pacing tools that provide real-time insights into enrolment performance.

• Identify risks and opportunities through scenario analysis and predictive modeling.

• Assess the commercial impact of pricing changes, marketing initiatives, operational capacity, and channel performance.

• Convert enrolment trends into workforce, operational, and financial insights.

• Construct commercial and financial models for new programs, partnerships, and market expansion opportunities.

• Evaluate business cases, pricing strategies, investment decisions, and ROI scenarios.

• Facilitate long-term strategic planning through growth and revenue modeling.

• Monitor and analyze newly launched products and initiatives.

• Lead post-implementation reviews against forecasts, assumptions, and commercial expectations.

• Identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with Workforce Planning to align enrolment forecasts with staffing plans.

• Ensure alignment of modeling assumptions and performance metrics across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance.

• Work together with Data Engineering on automation, scalability, and data quality enhancements.

• Improve forecasting processes, automation, and quality assurance frameworks.

• Maintain forecasting standards, documentation, and modeling best practices.

• Mentor business leaders on forecast interpretation, scenario planning, and data-driven decision-making.

• Advocate for analytical rigor and continuous improvement throughout the organization.


ā›³ļø Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in forecasting, commercial analytics, financial modeling, or demand planning.

• Demonstrated success in developing enterprise forecasting frameworks and scenario modeling approaches.

• Extensive experience in financial modeling, ROI analysis, pricing strategy, and investment evaluation.

• Strong background in building performance tracking, pacing, or predictive analytics solutions.

• Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Finance.

• Familiarity with data engineering, automation initiatives, and modern data platforms.

• Advanced skills in forecasting, statistical analysis, and commercial modeling.

• Expert-level proficiency in Excel with strong financial modeling experience.

• Advanced skills in Power BI, including dashboard development and executive reporting.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with modern cloud-based data environments such as Microsoft Fabric.

• Experience with Python and/or R is highly regarded.

• Strong presentation, storytelling, and executive communication abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and numerical reasoning skills.

• Applicants must be located in Australia and possess unrestricted working rights.

• Preferred candidates may need to undergo a police check and other pre-employment screening processes.

• Postgraduate qualifications in Analytics, Finance, Econometrics, or a related field are advantageous.

• Experience in the education or EdTech sector is desirable but not mandatory.
