This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Monitor and conduct thorough analysis of security alerts.
• Implement incident handling protocols across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
• Execute malware analysis.
• Carry out remote remediation for malware or malicious activities.
• Enhance and refine processes for incident detection, triage, and the execution of countermeasures.
• Generate high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings for customer management.
• Exhibit industry thought leadership through blog contributions, CrowdCasts, and various public speaking engagements.
• Oversee internal programs or teams.
• Act as the technical escalation point and mentor for junior analysts.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance for issues addressed by junior analysts.
• Contribute to the enhancement of security processes and procedures.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following: incident handling, computer forensic analysis, systems administration, network forensic analysis, malware analysis, incident remediation, network operations and architecture/engineering, or programming/scripting.
• Experience in conducting or managing incident response for organizations, investigating targeted threats such as Advanced Persistent Threats, Organized Crime, and Hacktivists.
• Background in using forensic analysis tools during incident response investigations.
• Knowledge of system internals to effectively implement and execute countermeasures and remediation strategies.
• Proficiency in network protocols, network analysis tools, and related network logs.
• Capability to conduct both static and dynamic malware analysis.
• Strong grasp of targeted attacks and ability to formulate tailored tactical and strategic remediation plans.
• Comprehensive understanding of secure network architecture alongside experience in network operations.
• Proficiency in programming with Powershell, C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET.
• Documented experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
• BA or BS / MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Policy, or a related field.
• At least one relevant security certification.
• Excellent verbal and communication capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude.
• Extensive experience with Mac OS, Windows, and Unix operating systems.
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations in a productive and professional manner.
