Senior Analyst, Credit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage the Engine X credit underwriting queue from the moment of receipt until a decision is reached.

• Implement the credit decision framework swiftly while ensuring documented reasoning.

• Conduct KYB verification, confirm business identity, analyze D&B and similar bureau data, and evaluate creditworthiness.

• Identify underwriting workflow steps that can be automated or eliminated.

• Keep a record of all decisions for exception reviews and regulatory compliance.

• Recognize common signals, exception trends, and emerging risk indicators across applications.

• Assist in backtest analysis for suggested rule modifications utilizing historical application data.

• Play a role in the development and documentation of SOP as the credit framework evolves.

• Collaborate with the Fraud team on intersecting application-stage fraud and credit-risk signals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial or business credit analysis or underwriting.

• Proven ability to manage the complete credit decision lifecycle independently.

• Experience with D&B or equivalent commercial credit bureaus.

• Proficient in executing the KYB process.

• An automation-oriented mindset with the ability to pinpoint processes suitable for systematization.

• Strong documentation skills suitable for exception review or regulatory compliance.

• Capability to detect patterns across applications and proactively identify policy gaps.

• Experience in fintech, corporate card, or SMB credit environments is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with SQL or Google Sheets / Excel for data analysis is an advantage.

• Experience in contributing to SOP or credit policy documentation is a plus.
