Senior Analyst, Commercial Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Provide analytical support and develop business case models to assess financial and market impacts, facilitating profitable decision-making.

• Collaborate with Sales, Product Development, and Accounting teams to deliver financial insights and recommendations that align with commercial objectives.

• Manage month-end processes, including P&L analysis, variance commentary, and management reporting packages.

• Ensure pricing controls are upheld through process documentation, cross-functional alignment, and reconciliation of essential data sources.

• Evaluate business performance trends and key drivers, identifying risks, opportunities, and actions to enhance results against targets.

• Improve and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and data sources.

• Assist in forecasting and planning by analyzing business drivers across channels and quantifying associated risks and opportunities.

• Lead ad-hoc projects that support commercial priorities and foster organizational growth.

• Execute other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, commercial finance, or accounting.

• Experience in Beverage Alcohol, CPG, Cannabis, or similar industries is advantageous.

• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and excel in a fast-paced environment.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Familiarity with visualization software (e.g., Tableau) is beneficial.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Knowledge of trade investment, the promotional landscape, and promotional optimization techniques is a plus.

• Successful completion of background and reference checks is required.
