This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Convert insights from consumers, shoppers, categories, and retailers into actionable growth strategies, compelling category narratives, and tailored recommendations for customers.
• Oversee category analytics initiatives that bolster Sales, Category Leadership, and cross-functional business collaborations.
• Pinpoint opportunities across customers, channels, and categories for joint business planning, strategic account development, and growth initiatives specific to retailers.
• Evaluate customer business performance utilizing syndicated, retailer, proprietary, shopper card, POS, and internal financial datasets.
• Create and deliver category reviews, business assessments, and insights-driven recommendations.
• Shape retailer category strategies by providing account-specific insights and guidance on distribution, promotions, pricing, and shelf positioning.
• Enhance analytics and business intelligence processes to facilitate informed decision-making and scalable operations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Insights, Intelligence, Category Strategy, and other functional teams.
• Formulate category leadership strategies, national growth narratives, retailer-specific action plans, and comprehensive category roadmaps.
• Employ data sources and analytical tools to uncover risks, competitive challenges, growth prospects, and viable solutions.
• Prepare analyses and presentations that convey business and consumer trends, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
• Develop proficiency in syndicated data, advanced analytics, data visualization, statistical analysis, and effective presentation techniques.
• Engage in market visits, retail audits, account discussions, business planning sessions, shopper insight initiatives, and technology training as necessary.
• Commit to personal growth and ongoing professional development.
• A Bachelor’s degree.
• Over 2 years of experience in analytical sales, commercial analytics, category management, or a similar field.
• Proficient experience with syndicated sales data software, including IRI or Nielsen.
• Capability to collect, analyze, and present detailed business information to diverse audiences with varying expertise levels.
• Advanced skills in Excel, data visualization, and familiarity with statistical programming or query languages such as R, Python, or SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Skills in project management, critical thinking, prioritization, and solution-oriented problem-solving.
• Ability to cultivate relationships, communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, and tackle business inquiries with a consultative approach.
