This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee intricate investigations spanning endpoint, identity, email, network, and cloud environments.
• Act as the technical authority for high-severity incidents affecting multiple customers.
• Perform in-depth analysis of EDR telemetry, forensic data, and network information to identify root causes, attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and the extent of compromise.
• Examine advanced Microsoft 365 threats, including business email compromise (BEC) and adversary-in-the-middle (AITM) attacks.
• Offer expert-level advice to clients.
• Execute both static and dynamic malware analysis to uncover threat behaviors and indicators of compromise.
• Formulate and implement remediation strategies for compromised environments.
• Coordinate containment actions on third-party platforms across customer infrastructures.
• Mentor and nurture the development of Analyst team members.
• Contribute to the creation of training materials, knowledge base content, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and team capability enhancement.
• Propel process enhancements and develop automation for detection and response activities.
• Represent CrowdStrike through blog entries, CrowdCasts, and public speaking engagements.
• Provide expert-level communications to customers and manage technical escalations during critical incidents.
• Significant experience in Incident Response or Information Security.
• Expert-level proficiency in leading and managing intricate incident response investigations.
• Experience in managing high-severity, multi-host, and multi-customer incidents from initial triage through to remediation.
• Background in investigating host/user compromises, organized crime syndicates, and sophisticated nation-state threats.
• Profound knowledge of attack vectors and the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) employed by threat actors.
• Advanced capability to apply and extend MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Extensive experience in conducting forensic analyses across host, memory, and network artifacts.
• High-level skills in static and dynamic malware analysis, including reverse engineering principles and behavioral analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, processes, efficiency, and overall business outcomes.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, particularly in high-pressure escalation situations.
• Candidates with proficiency in Japanese, both written and verbal, are strongly encouraged to apply.
