Senior Analyst, ABL Inventory Appraisal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate inventory data as collateral within the Asset-Based Lending framework by determining the Net Orderly Liquidation Value (NOLV).

• Offer analytical support for both ongoing and new inventory valuation initiatives, including data gathering, due diligence, and analysis.

• Manage multiple projects independently while also collaborating with team members.

• Conduct backup exhibit calls with companies to confirm the accuracy of provided information.

• Analyze essential performance metrics and prepare values along with justifications for approval.

• Liaise with banks and company clients regarding information provided by companies and any business or operational challenges.

• Research consumer products, industrial sectors, retail, and other designated market areas.

• Develop a qualitative understanding of the elements influencing asset values and discuss findings with management and clients.

• Conduct independent job inspections and client meetings as required.

• Deliver high-quality appraisal work that surpasses client expectations in professionalism and efficiency.

• Generate final appraisal reports that include both quantitative and qualitative insights.

• Follow established methodologies utilizing standard models and templates.

• Ensure the Gordon Brothers’ Appraisal Application database is maintained with accurate and timely contact, company, and recovery information.

• Engage in travel, job inspections, and client meetings alongside senior-level Appraisers; photograph assets and take notes or dictation.

• Provide additional analytical support as requested by management.

• Attain proficiency in and comply with USPAP standards relevant to inventory valuations.

• Adhere to Gordon Brothers’ Core Values and assist in achieving strategic-plan objectives.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of four years of relevant work experience, ideally in a financial, lending, audit, or consulting setting.

• Proficiency in MS Word and advanced Excel, including skills with pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas.

• Comprehensive understanding of financial statements, such as income statements and balance sheets.

• Familiarity with inventory and other asset accounting methodologies is preferred.

• Proven analytical, presentation, and project management abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

• High level of integrity and business acumen.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Occasional travel of up to 20% may be necessary.

• Ability to gain proficiency in and adhere to USPAP standards applicable to inventory valuations.
