Senior AI/ML Engineer, Mobile Application Engineer – iOS/Android

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Design, train, and optimize models and pipelines for speech-to-text (STT), natural language understanding (NLU), and text-to-speech (TTS) applications.

• Construct and manage MLOps pipelines for the deployment, monitoring, and retraining of models.

• Create APIs and services that deliver AI functionalities to backend, frontend, and mobile applications.

• Work collaboratively with backend engineers to enhance inference performance and minimize end-to-end latency.

• Develop, improve, and sustain Android and iOS applications, incorporating AI/ML and Voice Agent integration.

• Integrate APIs, speech processing, real-time communication, and AI-driven features into mobile applications.

• Produce frontend prototypes, dashboards, and demonstrations utilizing a contemporary frontend framework.

• Conduct research and controlled experiments aimed at enhancing model accuracy, quality, and performance.

• Assess external models and providers against product specifications and measurable benchmarks.

• Document model architectures, experiments, evaluation outcomes, mobile integrations, and deployment methodologies.

• Engage in code reviews and uphold high standards of engineering and reproducibility.

• Collaborate across backend, frontend, mobile, and infrastructure teams.

• Develop prototypes, dashboards, internal demonstrations, and production-ready mobile experiences for the Voice Agent platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–9 years of relevant experience in software engineering and AI/ML development.

• Proficient in Python with experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks.

• Practical experience in speech/audio processing and natural language processing methods.

• Deployment experience using ONNX, TensorRT, Triton, or comparable tools.

• Proven experience in developing Android applications with Kotlin and/or Java.

• Proven experience in developing iOS applications with Swift and/or Objective-C.

• Familiarity with integrating REST APIs, SDKs, authentication, real-time communication, and AI-powered services into mobile apps.

• Experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular; frontend experience is essential.

• Familiarity with AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML, or a comparable cloud AI platform.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Git and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with real-time streaming technologies like WebSocket or WebRTC.

• Experience in developing voice-enabled or AI-powered Android/iOS applications.

• Experience with mobile audio capture, playback, streaming, and speech processing.

• Understanding of model quantization, pruning, and inference optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with SIP, WebRTC, or PSTN integration.

• Experience deploying or optimizing AI models for mobile or edge devices.

• Experience with mobile application deployment via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

• Contributions to open-source projects or research publications in AI, speech, voice, or mobile technology.
