This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +2 more states.
• Support clients in developing and implementing top-tier display solutions.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for Consultants, Architects, and Designers during the pre-sales technical support phase.
• Facilitate technical discussions with the sales and engineering teams of customers to identify the best Planar display solutions.
• Deliver product training sessions and presentations, while also technically qualifying sales opportunities.
• Offer pre- and post-sale integration and application development assistance.
• Collaborate with Customer Service to address post-sale technical concerns.
• Initiate technical dialogues with existing and potential customers in conjunction with Sales.
• Showcase and demonstrate products to decision-makers and influencers in customer organizations; support Sales during sales calls.
• Represent customer interests to Product Management.
• Develop technical documentation and drawings that aid the sales process.
• Assist Sales in creating proposals and reviewing technical orders.
• Provide on-site training and installation assistance to Planar partners and customers.
• Organize and prepare hardware and software applications for customer demonstrations.
• Offer technical insights regarding product enhancements and modifications.
• Advise management on product development challenges identified through customer interactions.
• Contribute to marketing initiatives, including trade shows and technical articles.
• Assist with engineering tasks, including product rollouts and reviewing technical publications.
• Support customers with customer service, product sustaining engineering, and the RMA process.
• Some higher education or vocational training, ideally in a technical discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years in a technical sales role, preferably within a B2B technology firm.
• Knowledge of A/V products.
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities.
• Strong skills in negotiation and sales.
• Capacity for ongoing interpersonal interactions, along with the ability to analyze and solve issues.
• Ability to actively engage in team development and collaborative processes.
• Physical capacity to operate computer hardware and software.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Valid U.S. passport and willingness to travel to Canada regularly.
• Capability to safely and effectively perform essential job functions in line with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Prolonged periods of keyboard use and standing/walking.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Ability to uphold acceptable standards of conduct and professionalism.
• Capacity to manage stress effectively.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, be on-call, and work nights or weekends.
• Ability to lift, pull, or carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended durations.
