Senior AI Scientist – AI Products, Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, design, and implement advanced multimodal AI models aimed at enhancing clinical care and drug development.

• Create and train cutting-edge models utilizing pathology slides, genomic profiles, spatial omics, and longitudinal patient data.

• Build AI solutions that facilitate biomarker discovery, predict therapy outcomes, and support Companion Diagnostics (CDx).

• Ensure that AI products comply with rigorous healthcare regulatory standards and quality criteria.

• Publish original research in prestigious academic journals.

• Collaborate with the global AI research community.

• Oversee the comprehensive development of machine learning models, from initial research and experimentation to validation and deployment in production.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline.

• At least 1 year of industry experience leading the complete development cycle of machine learning models.

• Proven expertise in large-scale deep learning and the training of production-quality models.

• Experience with computer vision and multimodal modeling is preferred.

• Previous experience in medical or healthcare AI is highly regarded but not mandatory.

• A strong record of peer-reviewed publications in top machine learning or computer vision conferences and journals.

• Publications in medical or healthcare AI journals are favored.

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with the modern deep learning framework, such as PyTorch.

• Excellent coding skills at the product level for model development.

• A solid understanding of industry-standard software engineering and development methodologies.
