Senior AI Platform Engineer – Enterprise Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy production services, APIs, and user-facing interfaces as required.

• Take ownership of the entire software lifecycle, encompassing implementation, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, deployment, and maintenance.

• Build and manage production AI systems, including RAG, evaluation, fine-tuning, serving, and optimization for inference.

• Transform prototypes into reusable platform capabilities, ensuring CI/CD, evaluation, and governance are in place.

• Architect AWS/GCP environments utilizing Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD for applications and model pipelines.

• Oversee observability and incident response efforts.

• Collaborate on SOC 2/SOX compliance and implement least-privilege IAM strategies.

• Manage cloud and AI expenditures by enhancing visibility, attribution, budgets, and reduction strategies.

• Optimize GPU usage, inference routing, model selection, and resource allocation.

• Monitor cost per request/token and GPU idle capacity.

• Work alongside product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver dependable software and minimize AI value delivery costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience with a focus on production systems.

• Proven experience in delivering backend services/APIs and production AI/ML solutions, including LLMs, RAG, and serving.

• Strong proficiency in Python, along with skills in a secondary technology stack such as TypeScript/Node, Go, or Java.

• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar serving frameworks.

• Familiarity with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD processes.

• Demonstrated ability to reduce or manage cloud/AI spending effectively.

• Excellent communication skills to convey technical and cost trade-offs clearly while owning deployed systems.

• Applicants must be authorized to receive and access commodities and technologies regulated under U.S. Export Administration Regulations.

• Preferred qualifications include full-stack development experience with React/Next.js, vector databases, inference optimization, FinOps tooling, SOX/SOC 2 compliance, and knowledge of Copilot/Cursor.
