Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Participate in a 15-month AI transformation project for a global management consulting client.

• Deliver production-ready Agentic AI solutions for a variety of business applications.

• Collaborate within a cross-functional team of Senior Data and AI Engineers.

• Advance solutions from the ideation and experimentation phases through to deployment.

• Design, construct, test, and operationalize Agentic AI solutions throughout the complete use case lifecycle.

• Create modular AI agents, tools, and reusable capabilities that support multiple business scenarios.

• Develop data pipelines and data products for both structured and unstructured data utilizing Palantir Foundry.

• Design and manage Foundry ontologies, which include Object Types, Link Types, Action Types, Interfaces, and Property Sets.

• Construct and implement LLM-powered workflows using Palantir AIP Logic, AIP Automate, and AIP Assist.

• Integrate and assess models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and other LLM providers, focusing on quality, security, and cost considerations.

• Establish automated testing, observability, guardrails, and secure CI/CD pipelines to support production deployments.

• Engage with client stakeholders and team members.

• Share expertise in Palantir and enhance the skills of fellow engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive commercial experience in designing, building, and deploying Agentic AI and multi-agent solutions within production environments.

• Practical experience with Palantir Foundry and Palantir AIP, including data engineering, ontology development, and AI/LLM workflows.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar technologies.

• Experienced in constructing data pipelines and semantic or context layers using both structured and unstructured data.

• Direct experience with leading LLM providers, RAG architectures, vector databases, and model integration techniques.

• Familiar with Git-based development, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps methodologies.

• Knowledgeable about LLM evaluation, AI guardrails, observability, and responsible AI principles.

• Strong communication skills in English.

• Capable of collaborating with clients, cross-functional teams, and fellow engineers.

• Experienced with advanced Palantir functionalities such as CBAC attribute sets, Data Lineage, Ontology Linter, and Foundry Marketplace.

• Hands-on knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, Databricks, and Databricks Genie.

• Experience in designing semantic layers, ontologies, or context frameworks across Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.

• Understanding of LLM model selection, performance optimization, and cost management strategies.

• Prior experience in consulting, rapid prototyping, or enhancing the skills of engineering teams.
