Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, adapt, and implement machine learning and classical algorithms, progressing from proof of concept (POC) to functional prototypes.

• Plan and conduct experiments to tackle essential business inquiries.

• Develop and maintain processes for model testing and statistical validation.

• Implement data processing and training pipelines.

• Enhance existing machine learning and deep learning codebases and frameworks.

• Document POCs and experiments comprehensively.

• Plan and oversee long-term research initiatives.

• Assist in the recruitment of talent within the field.

• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.

• Collaborate on practical artificial intelligence solutions for aquaculture, utilizing imaging technology to detect, identify, and predict traits of aquatic species.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing image and video processing, as well as computer vision solutions.

• Over 8 years of experience as a machine learning engineer/researcher or in a comparable role.

• Proficiency in popular Python machine learning frameworks (such as scikit-learn, SciPy, Matplotlib, PyTorch, etc.).

• Strong grasp of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.

• Capability to write clean, robust, and efficient code.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• Candidates holding a BSc degree with equivalent industrial experience are also encouraged to apply.

• Preferred: publication history in leading AI conferences or journals.

• Preferred: experience in deploying machine learning/AI systems in production environments and tools.

• Preferred: familiarity with CUDA, ONNX, and TensorRT inference optimization techniques.

• Preferred: knowledge of Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes.

• Preferred: understanding of SQL, MongoDB, basic networking, or message-passing protocols.

• Preferred: experience with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.

• Preferred: proficiency with DVC, MLflow, Metaflow, or Databricks.

• Preferred: familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Screwdriver, Spinnaker, or similar CI/CD tools.

• Preferred: willingness to visit aquaculture sites as needed.
