Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and develop extraction pipelines powered by LLM, utilizing multi-call consensus, grounding, and value verification.

• Ensure data consistency and compatibility with new ERP systems by aligning extracted attributes with the PriCat standard.

• Assess and enhance AI models with a focus on accuracy, cost, and latency.

• Utilize LLM observability tools to monitor and enhance performance.

• Create and integrate AI functionalities using Python, Azure OpenAI, LangChain, and Document Intelligence.

• Build and sustain prompt templates and structured generation workflows with Jinja2.

• Revamp and improve the web application according to Design team mockups using Next.js and React.

• Implement user-facing PDF grounding views to increase transparency and assist users in validating extracted information.

• Assist French-speaking users by troubleshooting and resolving issues, providing fixes, and implementing minor features.

• Develop and uphold automated testing procedures.

• Collaborate with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in AI engineering and full-stack development.

• Proficient in Python with experience in creating AI-powered applications.

• Practical experience with Azure OpenAI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Familiarity with LangChain and developing workflows or information extraction pipelines based on LLMs.

• Understanding of document processing, structured data extraction, grounding, and output validation.

• Experience in evaluating AI solutions against quality, cost, and latency metrics.

• Knowledge of LLM observability tools, especially Langfuse.

• Experience with React and Next.js for front-end development.

• Familiarity with Jinja2 or similar template-based methodologies.

• Proven experience in implementing automated tests and troubleshooting production applications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, emphasizing data quality and reliability.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clearly communicate technical concepts.

• Experience with Azure AI Document Intelligence or comparable document processing technologies.

• Understanding of LLM evaluation strategies, multi-step extraction, consensus mechanisms, and grounding techniques.

• Background in integrating AI-generated data with ERP systems or enterprise data standards.

• Knowledge of PDF rendering, document annotation, and evidence-based validation interfaces.

• Experience in supporting international users or working within multilingual environments.

• Understanding of AI application monitoring, tracing, and continuous improvement practices.
