This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Take ownership of AI solutions from the initial technical discovery phase through to production and ongoing enhancements.
• Design and refine Generative AI, RAG, and agentic applications.
• Establish technical strategies that consider quality, scalability, security, cost, maintainability, and operational effects.
• Create agents and workflows that engage with tools, APIs, databases, messaging systems, and enterprise platforms.
• Define orchestration patterns such as Human-in-the-Loop, long-running workflows, retries, fallback strategies, and deterministic controls.
• Develop evaluation, observability, guardrails, and reliability practices specifically for AI applications.
• Advise on model, retrieval, framework, and infrastructure selections based on technical trade-offs.
• Diagnose complex production problems related to models, prompts, retrieval, tools, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders while offering technical guidance as necessary.
• Assist fellow engineers and contribute to the establishment of engineering standards and best practices for AI solutions.
• Proficient in Python development with a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver production-ready Generative AI and LLM-based solutions.
• Extensive understanding of software design principles, including modularity, separation of concerns, testability, maintainability, resiliency, and clean interfaces.
• Capability to design services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and distributed components for production settings.
• Practical experience with RAG and agentic AI patterns, including tool usage, function calling, orchestration, Human-in-the-Loop, and guardrails.
• Strong grasp of embeddings, vector search, retrieval strategies, chunking, reranking, and enterprise knowledge retrieval.
• Proficient with AI frameworks or SDKs such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex, OpenAI Agents SDK, Strands, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with multiple LLM providers like OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or similar.
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs among models, providers, orchestration methods, retrieval strategies, and infrastructure options.
• In-depth knowledge of AI evaluation and observability, including quality, tracing, latency, token usage, failures, and costs.
• Good understanding of cloud-native practices such as scalability, resiliency, secrets management, configuration management, observability, and access control.
• Strong familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, and version control systems.
• Fluent in English for technical discussions with international stakeholders.
• Knowledge of multi-agent systems and long-running agent workflows.
• Background in Agentic SDLC, coding agents, GitHub, or developer tooling integrations.
• Familiarity with knowledge graphs, GraphRAG, or hybrid retrieval architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog LLM Observability, LangSmith, OpenTelemetry, or similar platforms.
