Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and launch AI applications for production utilizing Python and Azure.

• Develop applications powered by LLMs through prompt engineering, model integration, tool utilization, and AI workflows.

• Design and execute RAG solutions utilizing embeddings, vector searches, retrieval methods, knowledge grounding, and assessment.

• Connect AI applications with enterprise systems, external APIs, databases, and Microsoft 365.

• Construct scalable backend services, APIs, data models, and application linkages.

• Create agentic AI workflows using tools like MCP and multi-agent patterns as needed.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to convert unclear requirements into deployable solutions.

• Implement engineering practices focused on testing, security, observability, scalability, and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional experience in software engineering focused on building production applications.

• Proficient in Python development for backend and/or full-stack applications.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure-native services and enterprise integrations.

• Background in developing production applications using LLMs, including prompt engineering and model integration.

• Experience with RAG implementation, encompassing vector searches, retrieval methods, knowledge grounding, and evaluation.

• Proven ability to integrate external APIs, enterprise platforms, and Microsoft 365 services.

• Strong skills in database management and SQL.

• Comprehensive understanding of APIs, application architecture, and contemporary software engineering practices.

• Capability to navigate ambiguous business challenges from initial concept to final production deployment.

• Must be remote within the United States, with the capacity to maintain significant overlap with Pacific Time working hours.

• Occasional travel may be necessary based on client requirements.

• This position is not available for C2C arrangements.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, or Azure AI Foundry.

• Preferred: Experience with MCP, tool integrations, agentic workflows, or multi-agent architectures.

• Preferred: Knowledge of vector databases and enterprise search.

• Preferred: Background in AI evaluation, observability, and monitoring.

• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD, containers, and cloud-native deployment.

• Preferred: Experience in consulting, media and entertainment, or other complex enterprise environments.
