
Senior AI Data Scientist – Agentic Process Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece, +4 more countries.
• Map HR processes comprehensively across various countries and quantify the FTE cost for each step.
• Facilitate workshops with leaders in Talent, Rewards, and HR Operations to evaluate automation candidates.
• Extract requirements from senior stakeholders who are not technically inclined.
• Design state transitions, triggers, branches, system calls, waits, escalations, and failure management.
• Establish guardrails that include dry-run mode, approval gates, least-privilege credentials, and rollback paths.
• Determine where human intervention is necessary and set confidence thresholds along with usable review queues.
• Create evaluations for task completion, hallucination, and language that may exhibit gender or cultural bias.
• Develop webhook-based, idempotent agent integrations.
• Optimize model selection and routing considering cost and latency factors.
• Assess HR-tech vendors, alongside their APIs, data models, extensibility, and integration expenses.
• Acquire knowledge about HR-tech systems, HR-data governance, employment law constraints, EU AI Act obligations, and organizational change management.
• Over 7 years of experience in building data and machine learning systems within the industry.
• Expertise that covers both aspects of the LLM transition.
• Proven experience in deploying systems that have the authority to enact irreversible changes affecting actual customers.
• Proficient in Python and machine learning.
• Responsible for end-to-end production ownership, which includes writing readable Python code, containerization, and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with current toolchains such as uv, Docker, or similar technologies.
• Practical experience with multi-step, tool-calling LLM workflows, including orchestration, retries, idempotency, timeouts, and partial failure recovery.
• Experience in state-machine design.
• Skills in cost and latency engineering, including model routing, caching, and batching.
• Knowledge of safety practices, including staging modes, approval gates, least-privilege scoping, and rollback mechanisms.
• Design capabilities for evaluations focused on generative and agentic outputs, such as LLM-as-judge, golden-transcript regression suites, and red-teaming.
• Proficiency in applied statistics.
• Experience in process mapping and quantification.
• Ability to conduct workshops with senior stakeholders who are not technically oriented.
• Capability to create executive-level written business cases and cost models for finance teams.
• Technical vendor assessment skills covering API surface, data models, extensibility, and integration costs.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the country of application.
• Nice to have: A Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with the EU AI Act or high-risk AI systems.
• Nice to have: Experience with PromptOps at scale.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of DataOps/MLOps practices.
• Nice to have: Previous exposure to HRIS/HR-tech or automation in regulated or audited environments.
