Senior AI-Assisted Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of problems from start to finish, encompassing initial discovery, production delivery, and ongoing support.

• Work together with Product Owners, architects, engineers, testers, and business stakeholders to define and implement solutions.

• Design and develop backend services, web applications, APIs, integrations, data flows, and cloud-based solutions.

• Create prototypes, validate solutions with users, and progressively enhance outcomes.

• Ensure that solutions comply with requirements for scalability, security, resilience, maintainability, and operational readiness.

• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools for development, testing, troubleshooting, code reviews, migrations, and documentation.

• Review and verify AI-generated outputs for quality, security, and accuracy.

• Lead technical decision-making, architectural discussions, and adherence to engineering best practices.

• Resolve complex issues spanning applications, integrations, infrastructure, and data environments.

• Guide team members and articulate technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Located in Czechia.

• Extensive hands-on experience in delivering production software within enterprise settings.

• Proficiency in software development, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, CI/CD, testing, and production operations.

• Ability to convert vague requirements into production-ready solutions.

• Strong grasp of software architecture, security, scalability, performance, maintainability, and operational excellence.

• Experience with distributed systems and enterprise integrations.

• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis capabilities.

• History of making technical decisions amidst uncertainty and documenting architectural choices.

• Practical experience utilizing GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted engineering tools.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development practices, including validation of generated outputs and understanding of AI-related risks.

• Exceptional communication skills and professional proficiency in English.

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin, Python, Django, FastAPI, React, or TypeScript (preferred).

• Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, and GitHub Actions (preferred).

• Knowledge of Kafka, Azure Service Bus, API gateways, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB (preferred).

• Experience with RAG, Agentic AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI observability, or application modernization initiatives (preferred).

• Background in logistics, pricing, planning, workflow automation, or enterprise platform development (preferred).
