Senior AI Architect – Enterprise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture design for comprehensive AI deployments from start to finish.

• Create scalable, secure, and resilient AI/ML reference architectures that encompass model lifecycle management, data pipelines, inference infrastructure, and governance frameworks.

• Assess and choose technologies, cloud or on-premises infrastructure, and tools that align with sovereign and risk management requirements.

• Provide architectural guidance across implementation teams.

• Identify, evaluate, and manage risks throughout the AI solution lifecycle.

• Establish and execute governance frameworks that incorporate responsible AI, auditability, and ongoing risk monitoring.

• Collaborate with security, compliance, and legal teams on sovereignty requirements and enterprise risk frameworks.

• Integrate security-by-design and risk-by-design principles into architecture, deployment, and operations.

• Generate architectural documentation, diagrams, and governance frameworks for the development, deployment, and monitoring of AI models.

• Promote encryption, access control, auditing, and safe operation of models across AI components.

• Work in partnership with engineering, security, compliance, and product teams.

• Conduct technical reviews and resolve architectural and integration challenges.

• Advise C-suite executives, technical leaders, and regulatory stakeholders on sovereign AI strategy.

• Facilitate design workshops, discovery sessions, and technical deep-dives.

• Convert customer requirements into actionable architectures and solution roadmaps.

• Articulate architectural decisions to executives, delivery teams, security, product engineers, and clients.

• Monitor advancements in sovereign AI, regulations, digital sovereignty, and AI risk management.

• Contribute to whitepapers, presentations, and technical guidance.

• Mentor, coach, and nurture solution and enterprise architects.

• Engage in frequent travel as a remote US employee.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in deploying and configuring enterprise Kubernetes, including Rancher RKE2, Red Hat OpenShift, and CNCF Kubernetes.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with Linux.

• Familiarity with SLURM on Kubernetes frameworks, including Slinky and SUNK.

• Solid experience working with Ansible automation frameworks.

• Understanding of REST APIs for product integrations.

• Knowledge of HPC architectures, network topologies, and high-performance storage platforms.

• Familiarity with NVIDIA AI Enterprise tools, particularly BCM and DCGM, for deployment and management.

• Regular travel is a requirement.

• Preferred: Experience with Sovereign Cloud, MLOps, or compliance-driven AI deployments.

• Preferred: Understanding of the EU AI Act, GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP, CJIS, or similar frameworks.

• Preferred: Experience in professional services, consulting, or large-scale transformation initiatives.

• Preferred: Previous experience in establishing a new sales strategy or launching a completely new offering.
