Senior AI Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop quick proofs of concept and production-ready components for AI-driven research, data access, document analysis, workflow automation, reconciliation, and internal application scenarios.

• Design, review, refactor, test, and maintain application code utilizing Python and other supported development technologies.

• Create and integrate REST APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) components, connectors, webhooks, databases, enterprise applications, and data-integration services.

• Link AI-driven workflows with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Graph, enterprise data repositories, third-party platforms, and authorized AI services.

• Execute retrieval and data-processing solutions using embeddings, vector or hybrid search, metadata filtering, indexing, and access-aware patterns.

• Deploy and manage applications within Microsoft Azure, employing approved hosting, identity, storage, database, networking, security, and deployment methodologies.

• Establish repeatable development and release processes utilizing Git, CI/CD, Docker, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.

• Implement security measures such as authentication, authorization, role-based access controls, secrets management, logging, monitoring, environment separation, and other security protocols.

• Evaluate AI solutions for reliability, security, model failures, prompt injection, unauthorized data access, unsafe tool usage, dependency failures, and other production-readiness risks.

• Engage in architecture reviews, code reviews, client technical discussions, troubleshooting, production-readiness evaluations, and technical knowledge transfers.

• Maintain implementation documentation, diagrams, runbooks, testing evidence, and technical decisions while effectively communicating blockers, scope changes, and delivery risks.

• Contribute reusable code, deployment templates, testing methodologies, connector designs, and engineering standards to Atlas Technica’s AI capabilities based in Ukraine.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of professional software engineering experience, including recent hands-on involvement with AI-enabled applications, cloud applications, data systems, or enterprise integrations.

• Proficient Python development skills with experience in building APIs, services, scripts, applications, or data workflows.

• Familiarity with at least one additional production development stack, such as C#/.NET, TypeScript/Node.js, Java, or a similar technology.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, covering application hosting, identity management, storage, databases, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and deployment.

• Hands-on experience with large language model APIs, agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, structured outputs, prompt design, and understanding model limitations.

• Experience in constructing or integrating APIs, connectors, MCP components, databases, data platforms, or enterprise workflow systems.

• Strong grasp of authentication, authorization, role-based access control, least privilege principles, environment separation, and secure secrets management.

• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, Docker, automated testing, production troubleshooting, and contemporary software development practices.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code while clearly articulating technical and implementation decisions.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities, ownership, documentation, and follow-through skills.

• Capacity to work effectively in a remote and collaborative delivery environment.

• English proficiency at the B2 level or above, enabling effective participation in technical client discussions and the production of clear written documentation.

• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Microsoft Agent Framework, or similar AI orchestration technologies.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, or Power Platform.

• Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, App Service, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, or other data and application platforms.

• Background in developing evaluation datasets, regression tests, or other methodologies for assessing nondeterministic AI components.

• Experience advancing prototypes, internally developed applications, vendor solutions, or citizen-developed applications towards regulated production use.

• Experience supporting financial services, regulated industries, enterprise clients, or environments with stringent security and compliance requirements.

• Relevant Microsoft Azure, AI, software engineering, or cloud certifications.

• Experience in creating reusable engineering patterns, mentoring junior engineers, or contributing to engineering standards and the sharing of technical knowledge.
