Senior Agentic Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Create outstanding technical systems from foundational principles, considering technical risks, security, optimal paths, edge cases, and key milestones.

• Develop agents, subagents, software, and workflows that enhance AI-assisted execution.

• Take ownership of ambiguous products throughout the entire process, from discovery and technical design to architecture, implementation, verification, and production.

• Design, construct, and sustain agentic workflows that provide engineering leverage.

• Develop systems and tools that boost the productivity of the broader engineering team.

• Share expertise and enhance engineering workflows.

• Challenge the product roadmap and uncover new technical possibilities and product issues.

• Contribute to the overall product and technical strategy.

• Improve engineering delivery speed and help shape Genie’s AI-first engineering methodologies.

• Independently design and deploy complex AI-native systems.

• Guide technical decisions within the scope of the role.

• Exceptional systems thinker with the ability to devise outstanding solutions from foundational principles.

• Profound experience in AI-native engineering.

• Proven track record in building agents/subagents, internal developer tools, MCPs, or other agent/tool interfaces, and automated development workflows.

• Experience in managing multiple agents.

• Exceptional practical engineering skills from inception through architecture, implementation, and production.

• Strong product intuition with the capability to question assumptions and identify prospects.

• Excellent communication skills for simplifying complex technical concepts.

• Senior-level hands-on individual contributor profile.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Capacity to provide clarity amidst ambiguity and challenge conventional thinking.
