Senior Advisor, Sponsored Projects, Funds

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee a designated portfolio of fiscal sponsorship initiatives.

• Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with project leaders and funding sources.

• Offer strategic counsel and assistance for designated client engagements.

• Provide guidance and support for major projects utilizing appropriate project management methodologies.

• Organize and execute information collection and stakeholder engagement activities.

• Define, negotiate, and finalize RPA operational deliverables.

• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints; devise and implement solutions.

• Foster team engagement, coordinate project efforts, and enhance team capabilities through training, coaching, and mentoring.

• Analyze philanthropic needs and propose solutions to operational challenges.

• Aid in business development through external connections, networks, proposals, and related materials.

• Identify, acquire, and oversee project resources.

• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to Assistants, Associates, and Advisors; offer guidance, feedback, and training.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree and graduate-level education or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Prior professional experience in philanthropy or a related sector with increasing responsibilities and demonstrated effectiveness in collaboration with Grantmakers, programs, grant seekers, and non-profit organizations in content creation and/or research (7-9 years or more of experience).

• A solid understanding of the wide range of private philanthropy, including giving trends and significant issues.

• Must be open to traveling for client-related work as necessary.
