This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Spearhead World Vision International’s advocacy efforts with faith-based investors, business professionals, and ESG/sustainability networks.
• Foster strategic alliances with private sector players, impact investors, and innovative finance stakeholders.
• Create organizational positioning and influencing strategies, engagement plans, environmental scans, and stakeholder power maps.
• Ensure alignment of influencing initiatives with private and blended finance audiences alongside global fundraising objectives.
• Share information and insights with Grants Acquisition and Management teams.
• Ensure the quality of content for private and blended finance audiences in collaboration with the Global Policy and Influence team.
• Act as the relationship manager for 1–2 key global coalitions or networks.
• Negotiate and implement strategic plans while facilitating opportunities to elevate children’s voices.
• Enable the engagement of senior leadership and staff across partner organizations.
• Build trust, showcase WVI’s capabilities, and position WVI for greater influence and funding.
• Capture lessons learned from partnerships and coalition involvement and convert insights into actionable guidance.
• Identify chances to leverage coalitions to sway global financing agendas impacting children.
• Provide thought leadership throughout the Advocacy and External Engagement ministry and WVI.
• Monitor influencing landscapes where Field Offices and Support Offices are active.
• Collaborate with team members managing similar relationships across various teams and offices.
• Contribute to enhancing organizational capacity for private-sector and innovative finance engagement.
• Coordinate with relationship managers to generate and disseminate content relevant to the portfolio.
• Master’s or Doctoral Degree, MBA or equivalent, in Business, Finance, International Development, International Relations, Public Policy, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in partnership management, private sector engagement, or business development.
• Proven expertise in private finance, faith-based investment, ESG/sustainability, or impact finance environments.
• Knowledge of innovative finance modalities and relevant stakeholders, including blended finance, social impact bonds, or microfinance.
• Experience working with or directly engaging private companies, investors, or financial institutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of the operations and decision-making processes of private companies, investors, and financial institutions.
• Experience in lobbying, policy influence, and private finance engagement.
• Ability to differentiate influence-oriented partnerships from programmatic delivery partnerships.
• Proven success in establishing and managing high-level external relationships with senior executives, investors, and multi-stakeholder coalitions.
• Demonstrated capability to influence without formal authority and create compelling business cases for senior leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Experience in coordinating across complex, matrixed organizations.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with uncertainty.
• Experience in developing partnership strategies that connect influence and income objectives across intricate stakeholder environments.
• Demonstrated experience engaging senior executives from corporations, financial institutions, or investors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and OneDrive.
• Familiarity with AI tools like Copilot and Claude.
• Ability to participate in lengthy virtual meetings.
• Willingness to travel nationally and/or internationally up to 30% of the time.
• The successful candidate must affirm World Vision’s core documents, uphold behavior consistent with Christian principles, maintain high professional ethics, and act in alignment with cultural sensitivities.
