Senior Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and adjust residential and commercial property and casualty claims with minimal supervision.

• Assess claims and communicate with involved parties promptly.

• Examine circumstances surrounding claims to determine coverage, causation, compensable damages, and reserves.

• Review insurance policies and documentation to ascertain coverage.

• Create estimates for repair and/or replacement expenses.

• Interview claimants and witnesses.

• Negotiate and resolve first- and third-party claims.

• Handle salvage and subrogation as directed by the client.

• Foster client relationships to encourage repeat business referrals.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Contribute to the organization's quality programs.

• Travel as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• IIA-AIC designation is mandatory.

• Appropriate state adjuster license is required.

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is needed.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.

• Proficient in using PCs, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Proven commitment to timely reporting.

• Strong customer service capabilities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

• Effective time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.

• Capability to meet or surpass Performance Competencies.

• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

• Must be able to kneel, squat, or bend as needed.

• Must be capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions, both hot and cold.

• Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead.

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds.

• Must be able to drive for up to 4 hours daily.

• Must have consistent use of manual dexterity.
