This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +27 more states.
• Take charge of comprehensive conversion tracking for platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and various other paid media channels.
• Implement pixels and tags, enhanced conversions, Conversions API integrations, along with offline conversion imports.
• Lead the architecture of Google Tag Manager across both web and server containers.
• Design and execute server-side tagging within GTM.
• Create data layer specifications and set up custom event tracking, inclusive of ecommerce schemas.
• Ensure precise tracking in GA4, advertising platforms, and CRM systems through quality assurance and testing.
• Oversee agency quality assurance standards for tag and event deployment on websites, landing pages, and media campaigns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tracking issues utilizing platform and browser diagnostic tools.
• Implement and confirm Google Consent Mode v2 and consent-aware tag activation.
• Maintain documentation related to tracking, event taxonomies, naming conventions, and standardized UTM structures.
• Regulate data quality and privacy within the tag layer, encompassing PII redaction and consent-state behavior.
• Distinguish between standard and additional-scope conversion tracking tasks.
• Assist Client Services in estimating and pricing supplemental technical tracking tasks.
• Contribute tracking evaluations to audits, pre-sale diligence, and new business proposals.
• Transform ongoing tracking tasks into documented, repeatable processes.
• Convert marketing measurement objectives into technical tracking specifications.
• Steer technical discussions with client developers and stakeholders.
• Aid in campaign launches with tag setup, testing, and approvals.
• Mentor strategists and analysts, and develop internal enablement documentation.
• Create visual dashboards or partner with analytics on funnel performance and attribution insights.
• Over 6 years of experience in ad operations, digital analytics, or conversion tracking.
• Proven history of managing complex implementations from start to finish.
• Expert-level proficiency in Google Tag Manager for both web and server environments.
• Experience with custom templates, custom JavaScript variables, lookup and RegEx tables, trigger groups, consent initialization, tag sequencing, workspaces, environments, versioning, and container import/export.
• Advanced experience in GA4 implementation, including custom events and dimensions, cross-domain tracking, Measurement Protocol, and attribution settings.
• In-depth understanding of major advertising platforms and their tagging requirements, including enhanced conversions, Conversions API, UET, and offline conversion imports.
• Practical experience with server-side tagging, including clients, transformations, and first-party data collection.
• Strong grasp of browser-based tracking, cookies, consent, and attribution principles.
• Knowledge of Google Consent Mode v2 and privacy regulations impacting measurement.
• Mastery of GTM preview mode, Google Tag Assistant, Chrome DevTools, and Meta Pixel Helper.
• Capability to write and modify JavaScript for custom tagging, data layer tasks, and enhanced ecommerce tracking.
• Ability to draft data layer specifications for developers.
• Experience integrating tracking with CRM or MAP systems like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Marketo.
• Familiarity with consent management platforms such as OneTrust, Cookiebot, or Ketch.
• Understanding of privacy compliance considerations.
• Experience in scoping and estimating technical tracking projects.
• Ability to articulate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
• Ability to mentor colleagues.
