Senior Actuary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +39 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform analysis, pricing, and risk assessment to forecast financial outcomes.

• Assist the Risk Adjustment team through data analytics, risk adjustment modeling, and intricate data validation projects.

• Execute and evaluate market-level results utilizing CDPS+RX or comparable risk adjustment models.

• Serve as the main point of contact for a designated group of markets within the team.

• Utilize mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles to compute financial outcomes.

• Create probability tables based on statistical data and other relevant information.

• Identify fair bases for distributing funds for insurance benefits.

• Convert complex analyses into practical business insights.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned and adhere to company policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of actuarial experience with an ASA designation, or 5 years of actuarial experience with an FSA designation.

• MAAA membership is mandatory.

• Fellow or Associate certification from the Society of Actuaries is required.

• Healthcare actuarial experience is highly preferred.

• Medicaid experience is preferred but not essential.

• Strong coding and data analytics capabilities, especially in SQL and large-scale data analysis.

• Extensive experience in data validation, manipulation, and quality assurance.

• Experience with risk adjustment models, SAS, Snowflake, healthcare data, and process automation is strongly preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work effectively within a team.

• Preference for candidates in Eastern and Central time zones.
